The Problem
Most trading platforms overwhelm users with technical jargon, multiple steps, and confusing interfaces. For someone who just wants to act quickly on a trading opportunity, the process can feel intimidating and time-consuming. HyprEarn changes that by making trading both smart, simple and accessible.
My Process
Before starting with the design process, I first sat down with the stakeholders, namely our founders and CTO to get a better understanding of their vision for HyprEarn. They mentioned wanting to make trading cryptocurrency so easy that even a beginner could do it. They used the term "one-click" setup during our initial discussions and that painted a clearer picture of what HyprEarn needed to be.
Next, having understood the business goals, I decided to do some research about how traders, both pro and beginners, behave and what matters most to them when setting up a trade. I reached out to some traders in the community as well as social media and conducted some interviews for my preliminary research. That's when I got some insights into some of the core problems faced by traders in the space which included:
Having to keep a continuous watch over market trends. It is time consuming and required a lot of commitment to continue trading.
Newer users reported not understanding a lot of the jargon used on popular trading platforms making it feel gatekept by those in the know. A way to understand different terms and how they affected their setup would be very useful.
Users also shared that they felt they had to do a lot of research before they could setup a trade, and sometimes, by the time they could make a decision, it was too late.
Pro users felt they understood market trends and just wanted intel on the most trending tokens to quickly act on those. Traders have to rely on dedicated platforms and social media for trading intel. They also wanted a customisable template where they could simply enter the required values and automate the process in some way.
Based on the user interviews, I moved on to conduct some competitor analysis where I reviewed different trading platforms in the crypto space and compare them with the feedback I received from users. From my research, I found that most trading platforms were too overwhelming for new traders. There weren't many guides or tooltips that explained what certain features did. For pro users, most platforms only had the option to setup trades but not to gather intel on trending tokens and such. There was also very limited automation available on these platforms which meant users had to monitor their trades constantly, making it tedious.
The Solution
I focused on removing friction at every step of the journey. Through clear layouts, contextual guidance, and built-in AI recommendations, we designed a platform where decisions feel informed and effortless. The goal was to help users take confident actions without navigating through clutter or complexity. HyprEarn makes crypto trading easy by:
Giving users trade suggestions as soon as they land. HyprEarn's AI Copilot is designed to scan the most reliable intel platforms and provide a summary in the form of "Winning Thesis Pointers" which provides justifications and exit triggers for each trade. This helps traders understand why a trade may succeed or fail and make an informed decision. This helps reduce the research time to just a few minutes spent reading the Winning Thesis Pointers. Based on these, HyprEarn also provides users with a "Winning %" and Risk-to-Reward Ratio, helping users assess how likely they are to succeed with the suggested setup and what level of risk they'd be undertaking.
Suggesting the lowest required values that would bring them the best outcome. New users can use the recommended values to setup a trade, reducing overwhelm and uncertainty. This gives them the opportunity to try some trades and learn without having to invest large amounts. For pro traders, they have the option to enter any values they like and the corresponding values change in proportion, reducing some of the manual work.
Providing a pre-filled template enabling users to create a "One-Click Setup". The AI Copilot suggestions also display a form with pre-entered values making it easy for new and pro traders alike to setup a new trade.
Auto-reviewing trades based on a frequency chosen by the user and automatically updating the setup. The Auto-Review feature is designed to review the trade's performance at constant intervals and updates margin, take profit and stop loss values automatically. This means users don't have to monitor their trades continuously and they can view a log of all the changes made by HyprEarn after the initial setup.
Showing them a Profit & Loss (PnL) Calendar to give users a quick overview of how their trades have performed over a certain period of time. This helps users understand the general trend in the setups they've created and make better decisions moving forward.
In addition the core features listed above, I also added some gamification features to make HyprEarn a more pleasant and welcoming experience for users. In my preliminary research, I had observed that several platforms had leaderboards and mascots to encourage users to trade on their platforms. I thought it was a good idea for us to incorporate such features into HyprEarn to feel familiar to users who have used other platforms as well as to create a positive vibe.
The Result
HyprEarn drastically simplified the trading process, cutting average research time from 30 minutes to just 2 minutes. Within 30 days of launch, HyprEarn achieved a 77% win rate across active strategies and generated over $45M in trading volume.
